The game contains many secrets hidden throughout, one of them being notes that you can find scattered around the world. Finding these will give you hints or clues on where to find more gold or treasure in-game. Here are some notes found all over the map!
What is a secret note
A secret note in Stardew Valley is a piece of paper with information like drawings or the location of gold or treasure. They are hidden all over the map and give hints about where they can be found.
How to read secret notes stardew
First, open your inventory and head to the quest tab. Scroll down on the list of quests until you are on the “Secret Note” quest. Press A to activate it, then press X to confirm. You will shortly receive a letter in the mail about how these notes are secret and you should keep them a secret too!
Then head back to your farmhouse, go up to your bookshelf on the left side of your room, and scroll through your books until you find one that has “Secret Notes” written on the spine of it. Select this item by pressing A on it, then select “Read” by pressing A again. The game will automatically switch to full screen reading mode.
After you have read the secret note, head back to your bookshelf and read it again. You will notice that this time, a map has been added to your hint book with a red X marking the location of where you found the previous note.
How to get a secret note
In order to find a secret note, you have to do quest at the following map:
Quest: Secret note (You can activate it by pressing “A”)
Location: Near your farmhouse, go up to your bookshelf on the left side of your room, and scroll through your books until you find one that has “Secret Notes” written on the spine of it. Each note in Stardew Valley contains a number on the bottom-left corner of it. This number corresponds to a certain item in your inventory that can be clicked on to find a hint about where the next note is located.
After finding a secret map, learn its location and then go up to your lower right/east corner of the map to enter the small forest there. Now you have entered Cindersap Forest.
